Obituary of Mary "Beth" Elizabeth Van Fleet

Passed peacefully at Niagara Hospice Walker House in Welland on November 22, 2025 at 7:15 a.m. at the age of 80. Beth rejoins her beloved husband Wilbert (2009). Loving mother of William (Tracy), Thomas (Kerrie), and Rebecca (John). Proud Nan to Jessica (Brad), Joel (Michelle), Katelyn, Jacob (Jessica), John, Leighann, Joshua, and Noah.

She lived a life full of kindness and dedication. At 65, she proudly graduated as a physiotherapist assistant. She was a longtime member of her church and was honoured with the Order of Niagara for her many years of involvement. She loved bowling at Lucky Strike and spent many seasons managing her son Tom’s hockey team. She was always there to cheer on her grandchildren in their sports. She cared deeply for others, always concerned for everyone around her. Her gentle, inspiring spirit will be dearly missed.

The family would like to sincerely thank Jocelyne, Dr. Manser, and the staff of the Niagara Hospice for their compassion and care.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, November 27 from 2:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 1285 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek, on Friday, November 28 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara or St. John’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
