Obituary of Jamshed Lal Dean
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, surrounded by family and love.
A man of deep warmth, integrity, and unwavering dedication, he touched countless lives with his generosity, his music, and his boundless love for others.
Born and raised in Pakistan, he completed his education at Gordon College in Rawalpindi, where his passion for learning and the arts first took root. In 1973, he bravely embarked on a new journey, immigrating to Canada to build a meaningful and fulfilling life. He later graduated from Humber College and went on to work at Number 7 Honda for 40 years, where he earned recognition as a top sales representative and was admired for his honesty, dedication, and the genuine friendships he formed with those around him.
A gifted musician, he studied classical Indian music for twenty years and poured his talent into serving his church community. As choir director, he led with heart, faith, and a deep love for worship, enriching every service with music that inspired and uplifted.
In 1977, he married the love of his life, Jane, in a beautiful loving marriage that blossomed into a strong and joyful partnership. Together, they raised five wonderful children—Jessica, Jason, Jerome, Jennifer, and Jackson—instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and integrity. His legacy continues through his twelve cherished grandchildren, each a source of immense pride and joy.
He loved making friends wherever he went, greeting everyone with warmth and kindness. His love for Italian food, his vibrant spirit, and his ability to make others feel valued will forever be remembered. Full of life and full of love, he lived each day with purpose and a heart open to all.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakemount Worship Centre, 54 North Service Road, Grimsby, with Visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery.
He will be remembered always for his kindness, his laughter, his music, and the deep love he shared with so many. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
