Obituary of Malcolm Samuel Ecker

Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Saturday, November 15, 2025.  Beloved husband of the late Pat (2021).  Cherished father of Lynn and her husband Alan Ellis, and Lee and her husband Don Wilson. Cherished and devoted Papa of Sam Ellis, Heather Wilson and her husband Jake Turl, and Connor Wilson and Big Papa to Damon and the late August. Malcolm will be missed by his brothers Harvey Ecker (the late Bonita) and Larry (Dianne) Ecker, and brother-in-law Howard (the late Marie) Laidman. Predeceased by sisters and brothers-in-law Marjorie Tossell (Harold), and Dorothy (Jim) Tomlinson.  Loved Brother-in-law of Jean (Angelo) Accadia, the late Ardella Fisher, and Shirley Ladenchuk. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, his French River family and Rymal Road Community Church family. 

Malcolm was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 163 and thoroughly enjoyed his time volunteering at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Special thanks to the kind and compassionate staff at Juravinski hospital. 

At Malcolm’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum or The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 163.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
