Obituary of Stephen John Summerhayes

May 14, 1963 - October 22, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Stephen John Summerhayes. He was 62 years of age. Son of Nan and John (predeceased) Summerhayes. Loving husband to Wendy (Wilcox) for 37 years and proud father to Holly, Kayla (Chance) and Stephen.

Steve spent his career as a millwright with Local 1916 before eventually moving to Ford Motor Company, where he joined the build team for the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX. Steve had a passion for family, friends, travel, cars, motorcycles and sports - especially the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

He is survived by one sister and countless in-laws, nieces and nephews. His laughter, generosity and penchant for storytelling will be missed. A celebration of life is to take place at a later date.
