Obituary of Lilli Thimian

At AgeCare Willowgrove on October 31, 2025, with her loving family at her side in her 91st year. She was born in Poland on October 4, 1935, and came to Canada in 1954, where she fell in love with this country. Beloved wife of the late Harry. She will be greatly missed by her children: Judie Ute Thimian-Chaput (Larry), Bernie Thimian, Herbie Thimian, and Monika Thimian-Sullivan (Dan); grandchildren: Jordan, Justin, Kyle, Rachel (predeceased) and Dillon. She was predeceased by her parents, 6 brothers, 1 sister and is survived by her younger sister Alma Kohl. She will also be missed by many friends and family.

Lilli was a seamstress and partner in the family business Harry Thimian Upholstery. She also worked for 20 years with Community Living Hamilton as a support worker. Lilli had an immense love for gardening, and was extremely talented at knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She also enjoyed her time spent singing in the choir and playing many musical instruments, including guitar, at the church. Heartfelt thanks to the staff of AgeCare Willowgrove for all of their tremendous love and care.

Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Mission Baptist Church, 100 North Oval, Hamilton, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society or in trust to Herbert Thimian would be appreciated by the family.
