Obituary of Bella Chaisson

Bella passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at the age of 103 on October 25, 2025. Predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Alphonse. Loving mother of Willard (predeceased), Betty (David), Ernest (predeceased), Peter (predeceased), Leonard (Mary Lou), Joseph (Sandra), Catherine (predeceased), and Albert (Heather). Cherished Grandmother of Michael (predeceased), Richard, Shelley, Christopher (predeceased), Robert, Jeannette, Jeff, Gregory, Karen, James, Natalie, Paula, Scott and Ryan. Lovingly remembered by her 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Deeply proud of her Prince Edward Island heritage, Bella was a true islander and the embodiment of east coast hospitality. Eternally generous, Bella always made sure no one left her home hungry. She found joy in the little things, knitting gifts for her loved ones, trying her luck at bingo scratchers, and savoring her favourite treat, a McDonald's Filet-O-Fish and soft-serve ice cream. Bella was a gifted storyteller, always able to captivate her audience with her tales. Her words were filled with life, humor, and heart. When you were with Bella, she would never fail to look you directly in the eye and make you feel like the most important person in the room. Bella will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her steadfast faith.

Bella's family would like to thank the staff of Albright Manor for the wonderful and tender treatment she received during her stay and the end of life care they provided.

Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 at 11 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or the Salvation Army.
