Obituary of Ross Alldis

Ross passed away peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital on October 7, 2025 at the age of 76. Devoted lifelong partner and husband of 53 years to Lois (Gushul) and proud and loving father of John and his fiancée Paz. Predeceased by his father John (1974), mother Helen Sterling (2021) and brother Mark (2021).

He was a 40 year employee of Dofasco, starting his career as a millwright apprentice and retiring as an electronics trade specialist.

Ross was fun loving and kind. From building stereo equipment, restoring muscle cars, fabricating wrought iron gates and more, he was not a jack of all trades, but truly a master of all.

More than anything, Ross loved being with family and friends. He bathed in pleasure at family gatherings, fishing with his buddies at Johnny’s cottage, meeting weekly at Ronnie’s talking cars and politics, enjoying cards and conversation with Janet and Lawry, painting, repairing and laughing alongside his brother-in-law, Billy

We are grateful for the exemplary care and support Ross received from Sarbjit, his home care nurse and the nurses and doctors at H.G.H.

As Ross had wished, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on November 1, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. with Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m., followed by a reception nearby.
