Obituary of James (Jim) George Carson

It’s with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jim (James) Carson in his 83rd year on October 15, 2025.  Jim leaves behind his wife Marion (Furry) of 61 years; his daughter Teresa, her husband, Doug Vermeulen; his son Scott Carson and his wife Jane.

Jim was a beloved papa of Katie Vermeulen (Mitch Petersilge), Allie (Steve Scappaticci), Erin Carson (Kevin Longo), Kyle Vermeulen and his wife Rebeka. Great papa to Nicholas and Alessia Scappaticci; Grace Longo and baby boy Vermeulen coming soon. Jim will be missed by many family members and friends.

Jim and Marion spent many years travelling and enjoying their trailer or at home in their beautiful gardens. Jim was so proud of his 78 years growing up on the beach where he had lived since the age of four.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Donald V Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek Ontario on Tuesday, October 21 at 11 a.m. with Visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers donations to Cancer Home Assistance, 555 Concession St, Hamilton, would be appreciated.
