As an only-child, Kaz was one of the few older brother figures in my life. Even though I was a city-raised Japanese boy, Kaz was always inclusive and patient to show me the ropes - from playing pokemon in the car on his Gameboy (which I later inherited) to shooting my first paintball gun. Checking on “Karly” with a stomach ache in the women’s (not so clean) outhouse at the campsite will still remains one of my favourite memories with Kaz Though his time with us wasn’t as long as I expected, I hope he knows that he’s left many great memories with the people he’s crossed paths with. My condolences to Tatus, Marja, Tomasz, Nicky, and family.

Kaz was my best friend..he was the best daddy, friend, boyfriend and worker. Most loving man, kind caring honest and just overall the best person I have ever met. He showed me what true love was. I'll cherish all our memories together in my heart forever. Kazzy you are so loved and missed, there isn't a moment where I don't think of you. We love you. Thank you for never giving up on me and loving me the way you did. Rest in peace

We have very fond memories of Kaz at the cottage. His beautiful, patient nature was so welcoming to be around, and he was a natural teacher. My 2 youngest children learned so much from him (they have not yet seen another Tobermory gecko). Kaz was always interested, kind and great with children.
