Vladimir Savic, lovingly known as Deda Bata  has peacefully passed away in his 96th year on Monday, October 6, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, surrounded by his family. 

He leaves behind his loving spouse Verica, his daughters Svetlana (Vicky) and Ljiljana (Lilly), and his pride and joy, granddaughter Natasha.He also leaves behind his dear Tamara, Vesna, Kumovi Jovanovic, Kumovi Cavic, Kumovi Dancetovic, close friends, and nieces and nephews in Bosnia and Serbia. 

He was devoted to his church and loved his community. He will be greatly missed by all and will remain in our hearts forever. 

Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive. Stoney Creek on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Funeral Service Friday, October 10th at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 149 Nash Rd. S. Hamilton at 11:00 a.m.  The Very Reverend Fr. Djuro Samac Officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
