Obituary of Norvil Burley Brooks

It is with appreciation for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Norvil Burley Brooks in his 85th year surrounded by his loving family.  

He will forever be missed by his loving wife and best friend of over 60 years, Julie; children Pamela and Husband John, Kevin and Wife Carol and Grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, and Step-grandchildren, Les and Nick.  As well as Greatgrandchildren, William and Charlie who affectionately called him Pops!.  And Great Step-grandchildren Cameron, Miranda, Brooklynn and Madixx.

He will also be missed by much loved and respected nieces, nephews and many friends at the Legion where his music was enjoyed by all.

Norv took great joy in the beautiful and simple things in life such as music.  A well-respected musician, Norv carved a path for others to enjoy the Art of Music and passed the torch onto his children.  

Mountain Song recorded by his daughter is a testament to his early life in New Brunswick where he was born in a small town called Juniper.

He was a proud Steelworker who was employed at Stelco in Hamilton for 36 years where he retired in 2001.
