I was connected to Hazel for many years, working with families caring for children . How I valued her ability to learn and love, always with faith and hope working through the heart felt moments. May all those who knew her be comforted by memories of both her and Jack. They made this world a better place.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Hazel. She was a remarkable lady and we considered her family as she fostered our grandson for 4 months. Nana Hazel our two grandchildren called her. Hazel will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She always talked about her husband and loved showing pictures of her family.

My sincere sympathies to Hazel’s family and all who were close to her. Hazel and Jack were among the first foster parents I met as a new Children’s Services Worker, and I learned a lot from both of them over the years. Their door was always open, regardless of the time I arrived. Hazel never said no and was always willing to give others another chance. Her commitment and care for all who entered her home were unwavering. It would be difficult to measure the many lives she has impacted over the years as a foster parent and volunteer driver . May treasured memories of moments shared with Hazel bring comfort in the days ahead. She will be fondly remembered!

Hazel & Jack loved my first child before I even met him. They were wonderful people and helped me navigate my first adoption; they quickly became family and I will forever be indebted to them for their love! To Carrie and family; you are the beautiful extension of your parents love and you all were their absolute pride! They have united once again; and their love is spread further than most can ever hope!
