Obituary of Marlene Rose Middleton

It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to our dearly loved mother, nona, and bisnona. Marlene passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 28, 2025, in her 83^rd year, at St. Peter’s Hospital. Marlene was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Middleton and loving mother of Rhonda and the late Arthur. Loving nona of Patrick and Trisha, and bisnona of Indiana, Hayden, and Maverick. Marlene was the daughter of the late Frank and Angeline (DeRosa) Veltri and is survived by sisters Edith Brown (late Peter), Linda Petsche (Richard), and Francine Halcovitch (Bill). Predeceased by her brothers Aldo, Mike, Sam, John, Pat, Art, and sister Jeanette Haw. Survived by sister-in-law June Veltri. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Shirley, Yvonne, Joyce, Gail, and Bev Veltri. Marlene was loved by many nieces and nephews too numerous to list.

Marlene was a very hardworking woman and was a hairdresser for over 45 years. A special thank you to the wonderful nurses at St. Peter’s Hospital.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1 p.m. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
