Obituary of Barbara Lucille Birkinshaw

(nee Freeman)

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Birkinshaw announce her passing in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Bruce Birkinshaw. Barbara will be sadly missed by her children Cathrine, Brenda (John), Roberta (Gerry) and Robert. Cherished Nana of Kerry Ann (Chris), Mike, Jonathan, Melissa (Greg), Garrett, Malcolm and Leah. Great Nana to Genesis.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She will always be remembered for the great strength she showed facing adversity in life and for her warmth and sense of humour.

A special thank you to the staff of The Village of Glendale Crossing Lambeth neighbourhood for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, July 24th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
