Sheila Banach Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheila Banach, who died peacefully surrounded by love, finally finding the peace she so deeply deserved. She was 58 years old.

Sheila lived life on her own terms — unapologetically, fiercely, and with a spirit that was unmistakably her own. Though her life was not without its struggles, her love for her children and grandchildren remained strong.

She is survived by her daughters, Katlin Green (daughter in-law Jess Higgins) and Nichole Green, and her cherished grandchildren, Lux and Anthony Green. She also leaves behind her sister Bonnie Hayward and brother-in-law Marc Hayward, her brother Cam Banach and sister-in-law Pira, as well as her parents, Don and Zita Banach.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and nurses of 4 West at St. Peter’s Hospital. Your compassion, kindness, and unwavering care made all the difference in her final days, and we are forever thankful for the dignity and warmth you gave her.

A private service for family and close family friends will be held on Thursday, July 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Though her story was complex, it was filled with moments of fierce love, laughter, and resilience. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and in the generations she leaves behind.

She is finally at rest — free, at peace
