We are saddened to announce that our Mom Joyce has gone to rest with her Parents, Joe and Violet Whitfield and Step-Mother Myrtle Harrington-Whitfield. Mother of Steve Saulnier (Laura), Janice Pearcey (Don). Sister of Bill Whitfield (Betty). Beloved Grandmother of Nicolas, Step-Grandmother of Shannon (Dion), Aunt of Robert Whitfield, Step-Great-Grandmother of Ashton, Chloe and Duncan. Step-Sister of Nancy, Don and Paul and their families. Joyce was one of 18 Grandchildren. Joyce was blessed with numerous great friends who helped her with groceries, took her to various appointments, dinners with friends, shopping - especially Giant Tiger on Seniors and VIP Day!! Joyce was thankful for the friendships at her community apartments – she was so happy to be able to move back into her “old” apartment after the fire but was blessed to meet new friends while living at the other apartment as well.

Joyce was a member of the Stoney Creek United Church and Stoney Creek United Church Choir but had to leave the choir due to COPD – and lost her singing voice much to her dismay! She did end up with a sexy voice though!

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
