Obituary of John Babic

Passed away peacefully at Grandview Retirement Residence.  Beloved husband of the late Frida Babic. Dear loving father to John (Jr) and his wife Helen. Fondly remembered by his surviving sister Silva Košir and family currently residing in Slovenia.  Predeceased by his brother Stan (late Pepsa) in Canada and by other siblings in Slovenia.  Dearly missed by his extended family and friends here in Canada and in his native Slovenia. A special note of Thanks to the doctors, nurses and medical staff at the Juravinski, General and St. Joseph Hospitals, as well as others who had John in their care including Bayshore Home Health.

 

Family and friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, June 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Vigil prayers at 2 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 26th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 125 Centennial Pkwy. N., Hamilton. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, 681 Mud St E, Stoney Creek.

 

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to any charitable organization supporting the ongoing fights against cardiovascular disease, cancer and kidney disease would be appreciated.
