Obituary of James "Jim" Lukach

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of James (Jim) Lukach on Wednesday, May 28th at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. He was 78

Jim was a beloved brother to Elizabeth Joly (Denis), uncle to Jeff (Shaunna) and great uncle to Kadence. He will be missed by his great niece Madison McRae and great nephew Mason McRae. He is also survived by his cousin Anne Riches (Charles).  He also leaves behind long time friends Vic and Martha McConville. Jim was predeceased by the love of his life, Linda, his brother Leslie and his niece Michelle McRae (Mike).

Jim was a long-time truck driver and always enjoyed being on the road. His most recent employment was with Jadee Meats in Beamsville. His huge passion was going boating on “Teachers Pet”, always looking for new places to cruise and new adventures to experience.

Close family and friends will fondly remember his kindness, generosity, his wit and sense of humour.

As per Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Jim’s Life at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, July 5th at 1:30 p.m.  Online condolences and notes of sympathy may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
