Obituary of Janet Marie Stewart (Plumtree)

Passed away peacefully, in her 98th year at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, Ontario on June 8, 2025. Wife of the late Charlie Stewart (Beach Strip Esso & Beach Rescue Unit), mother of William (Nora) and Michael Stewart (Sharon). Grandmother to Paula (John), Scott, Ian (Ling) and Tiana, great-grandmother to Evelyn and Olivia, step-grandmother to Heather, Daphne and Darren. Predeceased by brothers Jim, Gerry and Bob. She will be missed by sister-in-law Edna, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as Nora’s grandchildren, Amelia and Cordelia. Janet was a long-time member of Stoney Creek United Church and was involved in many activities.

Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
