Obituary of Randy Lewis Rutherford

Suddenly at his residence in Hamilton on Thursday, June 5 th , 2025, at the age of 65, Randy was the son of the late Lewis Walter Rutherford and Gladys "Anne" Rutherford of Hamilton. Brother of Jeff Rutherford (Tracey), Ron Rutherford, Dave Rutherford (Rhonda) and father of David Ryan Rutherford.

Randy was a graduate of Mohawk College and was employed for 26 years as a Supervisor for Canada Post prior to his retirement at 55. Randy was an avid reader, particularly of daily newspapers having several subscriptions and enjoyed discussing politics and current affairs of the day. As a Conservative supporter he often wondered how anyone could vote for the inept Liberal Party. A lifelong Leaf fan Randy saw the Leaf’s win the cup in 1967 and then spent the next 50+ years waiting and wishing for it to occur again.

At Randy's request, no service will be held, and cremation has taken place. Randy will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Cemetery in Hamilton, ON.
