Dave, I will always think of you as an older brother. You were very close to me and my family over the 3 or so years that you were together with my sister. You were a part of our family at a very difficult time. You were the first and only boyfriend of my sister, really, that my dad ever knew and you always looked out for me whether at home, or when I got to high school. I remember as if it were yesterday I was just starting grade 9, and an older student was bothering me and you immediately stepped in like an older brother would, and protected me. That’s just who you were. And over the years whenever we happened to run into each other, even as recently as last summer at the Avondale in Vineland , which was
the last time we saw other , we always stopped to take the time to catch up. See how we were doing. How our families were. You will be missed by me and so many more. Dave, I know you’re up there watching over us all. Until we meet again, rest peacefully big brother.

So saddened to hear of Dave's passing. Our family has fond childhood memories - living across the street from one another as kids.
The adventures, the tree forts, the street hockey, and the endless games of hide and seek.
Such incredible memories.
Sending love , rest in Peace Dave.

Thinking of all the family today in Canada ❤️ holding on to all the memories I have with you Dave. My trips to Canada as a child and when I came with Granny Bryan as a teenager. Also can’t forget my trip with Fiona. We had the best holiday with you and so many laughs. So pleased you came over in 2022 with Jen, Miller and Hudson lots of special memories to hold on to❤️thought I would share a photo of the love you have over in N.Ireland xx

In 2015 we moved to Smithville and settled in next door to Dave & Jen. Dave was always friendly and jovial and we would talk about various things including his work, travel interests and
about his love of Ireland where he was able to take his family a couple of years ago. Most of our conversations centred on his boys and their hockey interest. No matter what his concerns they quickly evaporated when he talked about Miller and Hudson. He truly was a good neighbour and will be missed. Wishing the family peace at this difficult time and may happy memories of time spent together offer some comfort as you navigate the future. Praying God’s blessings for you all.

It was with great shock and a heavy heart that we received the news of Dave’s untimely passing. Though we have not remained as close over the past number of years, I have always considered Dave a good friend and looked forward to the times when we could get together. He was one of my closest friends growing up and I have many fond memories from road hockey as kids to high school football and many, many nights cheering for the Leafs in the playoffs in the early 2000’s. However, the greatest moment was having the honour of Dave standing next to me as a groomsman the day I got married. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.
You will be missed my friend

I open the garage door and what a void.. I will forever miss opening the garage door to see you there most mornings , your laugh and booming voice could be heard throughout the house , your love for cooking shows, darts and the Man U games, our heart to hearts on faith, love parenting and everything in between..the garage and most important our hearts will be forever changed by your missed absence!
