Obituary of Gary Arthur Whitwell

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at the age of 81. Predeceased by his wife Linda (nee Felker), his parents Howard and Eva, his sister Marilyn and brother-in-law Russ Rewak. Brother-in-law to Dianne Ecker (Larry). Loving uncle to David Rewak (Jill), Allen Rewak, Debra Zahara (Tony) and Scott Ecker (Mary). Gary was devoted to his wife Linda and visited her every day for the 9-1/2 years she was in Ridgeview.

Gary loved to play golf after he retired from Siemens and had a great love and talent for wood working. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Jack and June Wise for their kindness, care, and friendship they showed Gary over the years. You were like family to him.

Friends will be received at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, March 19th, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Private family interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huntington Society of Canada (20 Erb Street W. Suite 801 Waterloo, ON. N2L 1T2) would be greatly appreciated.
