In loving memory of my beloved godfather, Leslie Romhanyi. You were the best godfather in the world. I have many happy memories as a child and adult gathering together with our families. You and Keresztmama were always watching out for me, guiding me, and supporting me with your love and kindness throughout the years. I was blessed to have you both in my lives—the very best godparents. Now reunited with Ronnie and Keresztmama. Sincere love and condolences to Nicole, Stephen, and families. God bless you all. You will always have a special place in our hearts. ❤️ Andrea, Mark, and Calvin Gibson (Totok). A photo from my baptism!

To Nicole & Stephen & Romhanyi Family,
We send our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Les (Laci Bacsi).
The Totok and Romhanyi families were very close and we spent many special occasions together over the years. My Father Andrew Totok worked at National Steel Car with Les Romhanyi. However, it was their shared Hungarian culture and social gatherings that brought them together together for a lifelong friendship that extended to our families. We spent many special occasions, holidays, and Hungarian cultural events together. We shared dinners, dances, music & songs, & picnics, events & the CNE together. We shared so many happy memories. We had summer Cottages beside eachother at Lake Erie. My grandparents, Julius & Mary Steff were their next door neighbours. There was a large Hungarian Community at the Lake Erie area many years ago. It is difficult to accept the passing of Uncle Les who now has joined his beloved wife Eva (Eva Neni) and dear son Ron and my beloved parents Andrew and Elizabeth Totok. We also shared many friends from the Hungarian Communities, including St. Stephen's Hungarian Church and the local Hungarian Community Scouts (Cserkeszek) which Ron attended with my brother Les and I. We will always remember Laci Bacsi as a gentleman, a kind man with a warm heart and a happy disposition. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends, at home, Canada & in Hungary enjoying many gatherings, dinners and celebrations. We will remember him happily toasting with Palinka or Brandy/Cognac, (Az egeszsegere). This has contributed to his rock solid, old stock, strong European immune system & long life. We will miss our many conversations and get-togethers. We will miss his many stories of Hungary, his childhood and of his beautiful grandchildren. Sadly, many in Uncle Les' social circle have passed away, especially within the last few years. We will remember how beautifully manicured his lawn was with his vegetable and flower gardens. He was a talented electrician and he was a good handyman. He had a strong Catholic faith and attended Holy Mass daily. He contributed to his community & to charity. He enjoyed speaking to his sisters, Mari & Piri daily. He loved going for long walks in the neighbourhood, always stopping to speak to neighbours. He loved swimming at the local YMCA or Recreation Centre. He visited Eva's grave site daily. He loved his life and enjoyed time with his grandchildren, Nicole & Stephen and family. He also missed Eva and Ron very much, as well as close family friends. In salutation & honour we raise a glass to toast the memory of Laci Bacsi, "Legyen Isten Veled" - "May God be with you" and a blessed journey. We love and miss you.
Love, Cindy, Edward, Michael and Eddy Soltyka, and Totok & Steff families.
