Obituary of Al Saunter

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in his 83^rd year. Dearly loved father of Kelly and Dan. Cherished grandfather of Jocelyn, Dimitri, Jacob, and Jeanie. He will be deeply missed by his loving partner Linda Rapson-Lord. He will also be lovingly remembered by the entire Rapson family. Al was born in Cowansville, Quebec, to Alice and Kenneth Saunter, and moved to Stoney Creek as a teenager. Al enjoyed working at Baycoat from 1966 until his retirement. He will be remembered as an outdoor enthusiast. He loved to spend his time hunting, fishing, boating, and going for rides on his motorcycle.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 100 Stoney Brook Dr., Stoney Creek, in the Common Room on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
