Saying good bye to a very dear friend. This picture was taken in 1996, the weekend we first met George and Dawn. They took us to Niagara Falls to see the sights since we were visiting from Australia. Twenty years and many letters later we joined them in Hamilton and deepened out friendship. We will miss playing cards and seeing how George handled losing, which happened now and again. You will be surely missed my friend, RIP. Love Tom & Pat Coupland

One of George’s passions (besides Dawn) was his love for sports especially The Toronto Blue Jays & Raptors. A special time shared with his family and church friends who were privileged to enjoy a Blue Jays game with him shortly after his diagnosis.

We are heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend George. His ever-present smile, constant faith, and unwavering support for those in need have left a mark on all of us. George's legacy of kindness, humour, steadfastness, and generosity will continue to inspire our church. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dawn and the entire family during this difficult time.

Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. We remember the constant embrace of the Burrows' hospitality in our early days of leading the Hamilton Church. This was their superpower. George knew how to lighten the mood and keep things easygoing. A man who smiled and laughed well. As a couple, they were model servants who loved God and were passionate about their faith with class. We had so much fun in those days in our simple life, serving and studying the Bible with many who accepted the Lord. These cherished memories will never be forgotten. Love, Andrew & Suzette Lewis

What a beautiful kind and generous man. Always a smile and always laughs up until the end when we enjoyed our many visits to Mount Forest! Will be missed and will recall our last few times together and sharing his love and laughs. And sharing his Hershey chocolates.

My memories of my uncle George as a kid growing up with him riding me around on his bike while was sitting in that huge metal basket on the front that held the newspapers he was delivering and great memories of him playing football for the Burlington Braves... R.I.P...Uncle George
