Sending our love and support to Sarah, Lucie and families.
Aunty Stephanie was such a special person and I loved how she kept her northern spirit even after so many years away from the UK. She was proof that you can take the girl out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of the girl!
I have early happy memories of Aunty Stephanie cutting my hair while I sat on the living room carpet as I watched telly and listened to her chat with my mum. Also happy times spent in Maltby with her and Uncle Philip (and Benny the dog!) as well as Birthdays, Christmases and other days out and about with you all.
Aunty Stephanie was a great sister to my mum. My mum always said what a great listener she was and how she could cheer her up if she needed it or give her advice - she was very wise and thoughtful. Although she is gone too soon I am sure she is up there now chatting to her like they would on the phone about anything and everything. Bye Aunty Steph, you will be greatly missed. Sending our deepest sympathies and so much love from Florida during this very difficult time. Steph and my mom were very close friends and we kept in touch after my mom passed. She was like a sister to her. We all have fond memories of summers up at the trailer. She was such a beautiful and caring person to all. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her husband Phil and have a giggle with Barb. God Bless.

Having known her daughter Sarah since we were both 9, my memories of ‘Mrs Hellewell’ were many; a fabulous lady full of fun, wisdom, understanding, bags of compassion, a love of humour especially Billy Connolly, I used to have many days, nights and weekends at their house as a child and as an adult visiting Sarah in Maltby and Stoney Creek. I was made to feel welcome, with food. drink, laughs and as I grew older saw her also as a great friend too. What a wonderful personality. My most heartfelt condolences go to everyone in the family and to friends. Loved by everyone, her love shone through and was as warm and beautiful as sunshine. You will be missed forever. Love, ‘Clare in England’ x

I am still in the shock at the sudden passing of my Auntie Stephanie. It will take time to come to terms with the loss.
Remembering moments I've shared with my auntie and talking about her life to people around me, helps this process.
An amazing person who cut my hair in my youth, gave me driving lessons, fed me dinner but more importantly, inspired me to be a better man.
My heart felt sympathy goes to my cousins, Sarah and Lucie, and to their families too.

Our thoughts are with you all. So sad to hear of the loss of a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend and our Aunt. Lovely memories of Steph at our wedding all those years ago when Sarah and Lucie were our bridesmaids. We always kept in touch despite the distance and we will miss her lovely email updates. Rest in peace with Uncle Phil. Lots of love. Alison, Richard, Rachael, James and Philippa.

I met Steph when I was about 24. She came to the PT clinic where I worked. Steph and I became fast friends. So many memories over the past (nearly) 40 years. She and Phil came to my wedding. It was the first one in Canada that they had been to. We both took different jobs a few years later but always kept in touch through Christmas cards, occasional get-togethers at her place, my place or a restaurant. I last saw her for lunch in late July. So glad for that. We shared a few texts since then. Steph was one of the few people I’ve known who always made me feel very special. Missing you, my friend xo
