For 40 years, almost every time I called the farm looking for Brenda, Lorraine answered the phone first. If it took a while for Brenda to pick up a phone back at the horse barn to see if it was for her, Lorraine and I would chat. Sometimes Brenda wouldn't pick up and those chats would last for 20 min, talking about horses, dogs, cats, traffic, news, laughter was usually involved. Lorraine is a smart, funny, soul, with strong opinions and a giving heart. That spirit lives on in our memories and will be felt by those she is watching down on as guardian angel. You will be missed here on earth Lorraine xo.

Dear Gord and Family We were very sad to read of Lorraine's passing. She was a very happy and upbeat lady. Jan enjoyed working with her at the annual turkey supper and other church events. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We have both come down with a respiratory infection and are unable to attend the service in person. Sincerely Gary and Jan Field.

Lorraine was a beautiful soul who had an undeniable love for animals, especially horses. I had the privilege of knowing her, and I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone with such a passion for horses. I have never met a person with so much horse decor and classic movie collections. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and watching us from the kitchen while Brenda and I galloped around the fields. I’m so glad our paths crossed in this life and I can only hope to meet you in the next. She was not only a mentor and a friend but a kindred spirit who shared my love for horses. Lorraine’s warmth, wisdom, and joy for life will forever remain in my heart. Her spirit lives on in every hoofbeat and every soft whisper of the wind that carries the memories of the horses she adored. I am grateful for the moments we shared and the lessons I learned from both her and Brenda. My heart goes out to Brenda (Dave), Gord and the entire family—Lorraine’s love will continue to surround you all always. In the garden of life, you were the most beautiful flower. Rest in peace, Lorraine. You’ll always be remembered.
