In memory of my brother may he find enteral peace and happiness in the Kingdom of Heaven. My fondest memories of my brother start with his early childhood. At the age of ten I took care of him from birth when our mother was not able to. I cradled him, played with him and protected him from the bombings and turmoil of World War II. Kazik was blessed to be born into a family of four siblings; Michael, Bronek, Maria and Emilia. The family immigrated to Canada at different times but eventually we were all reunited in Hamilton. All five siblings lived under one roof at the infamous Cheever street home. Eventually we all moved on with our lives and Kazik became an uncle to 9 nieces and nephews (Krysia, Edziu, Lucy, Jadzia, Janek, Stasia, Tomek, Marysia, and Brontë ). Many memories were made from trips to Wasaga Beach, London, picnics at Sikorsky Park, and family gatherings. Kazik’s wedding became a family affair where all the siblings helped prepare his special day. His brother Michael searched for the venue and my sister and i helped cook all the food. Kazik’s pain and suffering is now being replaced with peace and joy of being reunited with family who awaits him in heaven (brother Michael and sister-in-law Basia, sister Maria and brother-in-law Kazik brother-in-law Chester). Kazik will be remembered with fond memories until we meet again. God Bless.
