Obituary of Daniel "Dan" Davies

DAVIES, Daniel (“Dan”) 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Dan in his 69th year on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Sheila, and children Kelly and Danny. He is reunited with daughter Maggie. He had only one grandchild, our Erika, who he adored. Dan came from a big family. He will be reunited with his parents Ivor and Myrtle and siblings Ivor, Al, Cathy, Carol, and Rosie. He leaves behind brothers Jack (Jeanette), Dave (Sherrin), Bill (Nancy), Jim (Mary), Ken (Val), and finally his best friend and brother Walt (Bev). He also leaves behind so many nieces and nephews there isn’t enough paper to list. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski and Hamilton General Hospitals for their excellent care. Dan was an electrician with Union 105. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 345 Highway No. 8, Stoney Creek, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, Stoney Creek.
