Obituary of Ariaan Mans
After a valiant struggle, Harry has gone to be with our Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Elena (1993) for the past 22 years. Dad to Wendy (Andrew), Albert Peter (Lynnmarie), Daniel (Maureen), and stepson German (Oxsana). Special Opa to Donna (Frank), Freda (Vince), Chris (Marie), Patrick, Sarah, Jordon, and Alexander (Sasha). Fondly remembered brother to Sieny (Bill), Gayle (John), John (Alice), Gary (Helen), Nick, Jenny, Piet (deceased) and many nieces and nephews. Survived by Step-mum Anna Mans and step-brothers and sisters. Predeceased by his first wife Virginia Ann (Price) in 1992 and his parents Albert and Lammigje. Harry immigrated from Holland in 1951 to Dunnville where he worked on a dairy farm, then at The Welland Dairy and The Stoney Creek Dairy where he started Mans Delivery Service. In 1978 he purchased Mountaineer Movers Ltd and was active in the business until he became ill in January 2014. Harry was an active member of Paramount Drive Alliance Church, Stoney Creek Lions Club, Coffee Hour for Seniors, Winona Men’s Club and a volunteer for various organizations including Canadian Salvage Missions, Dream Centre Camp Dorset ( Dialysis Camp) run by Lions. Harry was a generous, kind and loving person that will greatly missed by many. Rest in peace until we meet again. The family would like to thank Bayshore Healthcare for all their help in the last year, especially Marion and Happy. Thank you to Dr. George Tiab for all your care. Brown Funeral, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday, February 20,2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral at Paramount Alliance Church, 1035 Paramount Dr., Stoney Creek on Saturday, February 21,2015 at 11 a.m. Private family interment will be held on Monday.
