Obituary of Rufus Seamans

SEAMANS, Rufus Peacefully at the Henderson General Hospital on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Rowena. Loved father of Janet and Bob Seeley, Jeff and Marlene Creighton, Mary and Al Wharton, Peggy and Peter Finnegan, and David Seamans. Predeceased by his daughter Jan and son Arnold. Loving grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jack, Phyllis and Mildred. Rufus was a veteran of WWII and D. Day, a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 58, and the Masonic Lodge in St. Andrews, NB. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Legion Service Friday 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 7th, at 10 a.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
