Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth McDonald

MCDONALD, Ruth Elizabeth Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2009, 94 years old, at Wentworth Lodge, Dundas, Onario with her daughter, Lynda James at her side. Predeceased by her husband Ira McDonald (1971). Mother of Larry, Lynda and Richard James, Wynn and Lynda, Emily and Dale. Loving Grandmother of Mike and Julie McDonald, Kris and Al Grandmont, Tim and Marisue James, April James, Stephen, David and Lindsay McDonald, Laura and Chris Oakes, Martha and Paul Fiorentino, Sarah McDonald and Brody Wight. Great-grandmother of 9 cherished great-grandchildren. Raised in Meaford, ON., educated at Normal school, Hamilton, founding partner in Ira McDonald Construction Ltd., and lifetime family rock. Long time member of Stoney Creek United Church and volunteer in the community. Special thank you to Wentworth Lodge for their care and patience. Visitation at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek on Sunday from 1- 3 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Tuesday at 10 a.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1895 Main St. W., Hamilton, followed by Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at Stoney Creek United Church, King St. and Lake Ave., Stoney Creek.
