Robert & Marilyn Glazebrook, Iron Bridge Crt, Caledonia. posted a condolence

We had the pleasure of being neighbors with Carolyn and Randy in Caledonia....it was for such a short time however....it is the simple things we will miss, Randy washing the car even in the winter, Carolyn walking the golf course with us girls.... and making us laugh after we were all making bad shots....it is the simple things... like knowing they will never see the new trees bloom that were planted on our lawns last fall. The house is empty now, so empty.... and no matter who comes in it will always be Carolyn's and Randy's house to us....Only the sound of the wind chime hanging over the front door is still heard...we miss them very much....

Over the years I have heard about many Kowaleski family events. About the kids (to a mom your children will always be your kids, even when you are grown up) I heard stories about all the granchildren. After seeing all of you, you are truly lovely, kind, sincere and caring. A testiment to your wonderful parents In you time of deep sorrow you were comforting us, you parents friends. Many people go their entire lives never meeting friends like your parents. I was blessed to have met them. Like April said "their spirt will always be with us".
May the love your parents have showen you, help in this difficult time. I will remember the Kowaleski Family in my prayers. Marlene Neely

From the moment we heard of what had occurred with Randy and Carolyn our employees at Baycoat were asking for updates and information. While the three of us had not met either Randy or Carolyn, their loss has clearly been felt deeply among their Baycoat family. Randy was obviously well respected and liked by his colleagues and friends here. A thank you to Scott for keeping us up to date through such a difficult time so we could share with those here (and with our other retirees). We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the entire family and to friends of Randy and Carolyn and hope there is some comfort in the love and support of everyone who cared for them.

We were very sorry to hear of the tragic passing of Randy & Carolyn. Althought we haven't seen them for a number of years, we grieve with you for the loss of part of the family and know they will be missed by everyone. They are probably already organizing a "family reunion" in heaven.

We are friends of Randy and Carolyn's daughter April and wish to extend our sincere sympathy to April's extended family and all of the friends and aquaintences of her parents. While we never met Randy (nor Carolyn), April often talked about him/them with fondness, and we understand from the limited words written of him that he was a very Special person, Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend. May the treasured memories of him stay close in your hearts forever...He is with his Life and Love Partner now, so may Peace be with you all.
Sincerely, Robyn & Paul

Janet and I would like to extend our deepest condolences for the loss of Randy and Carolyn. We were out of the country last week for the service but would like to have said this personally. There are no words that can be said or written to say how very sorry we are. I know they will be watching down from heaven, together, as they lived their lives, together.

Deepest sympathy to the Family of Randy and Carolyn.
It was with sadness that we learned of the tragic events that were thrust upon you.
I will best remember Randy with his gentle manner and that devilish chuckle that said so much about him and how he approached all who worked with him and became their friend.
‘There is no death. Only a change of worlds’.

I have been very fortunate to have known Randy for many years. We have travelled, fished, golfed, snowmobiled and played cards together. I think I will cherish the memories of our numerous trips to his cottage on Hay Lake the most. Randy always found time to invite many of his friends and colleagues to the cottage. Many a story could be told of the happenings at the cottage but I guess what I enjoyed the most were simply the conversations that were told and all the problems that were solved right there on Hay Lake. Randy was so down to earth, always said what was on his mind, you always knew where you stood. I found his comments to be very true to life and I always listened carefully when he spoke, not wanting to miss a word. Although Randy's life was cut short, I truly believe the quality of his life was very high. He enjoyed life and certainly made the most of it while he was here with us. His success can be measured through the quality of children he has left behind. Randy has been a very dear friend to me and he will be missed.....but never forgotten.

Randy and I travelled extensively together over the past 20 years and I can only remember great times while working for Dofasco/Baycoat. He was a great friend as well as a business associate. I will miss him dearly as well as Carolyn who we got to know in later years. Our heartfelt condolences go out to a wonderful family whom Randy talked about often.

Randy
Eyes that shined, a sideways grin, a soft voice as he speaks gently to his loved one, Carolyn. Together in life as partners and now again for eternity. A timeless love story that blossomed as the family grew.
And now the sad time of grief. How does such a close family continue when two such bright lights leave us behind?
But you will as you remember the love and lessons your beloved mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather have imprinted in all your hearts and their voices and spirits will be with you until you meet again.
May god give you strength in the months & years ahead.

I didn't know Randy real well, only sharing his company a few times but through my friendship with Carolyn I felt like he was an old friend.
They were soulmates and as they would have wanted they are now reunited for eternity.
My deepest sympathy to the family.
