 PORTER, Donald Allan

Don passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 24, 2017, at West Lincoln Hospital in Grimsby, Ontario, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Margaret for 42 years, loving father of Rhonda Sheridan (Gordon), Robert Porter (Kate), Alicia Porter and Krystal Wills (Adam). Cherished grandfather of Parker Sheridan, Jorja and Weston Wills. Don was the eldest son of Allan and Francis Porter (nee Stockley). Survived by his brothers David, Stu and Steve Porter, predeceased by brother Paul. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Don was a licenced member of the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington for over 35 years. He was a proud owner of Century 21 Porter Group and D.A. Porter Realty Ltd. later in his career. He enjoyed standing on the Board of the Stoney Creek Minor Hockey Association in its early years.  A special thanks to the staff at West Lincoln Hospital. Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held at The Powerhouse Restaurant, 21 Jones St. Stoney Creek, ON. Thursday, November 30, 2017 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. Don’s father was a founding member of the Ostomy Canada Society.
