NEWELL, Doris Geneva

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, October 22, 2017, in her 85th year.  Beloved wife of the late Cecil Newell (2008).  Loved mother of Kempton (Shelley), Allan (Edwina),  Wayne (Carol), Brian, Darrel (Madelaine).  Cherished Nanny to 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Doris was a long-time member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed her church family.  Will also be missed by her extended family and friends in Port Maitland, Nova Scotia.  Cremation has taken place.  Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 7 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 26th at 11 a.m..  In Doris’s memory, donations to Stoney Creek Baptist Church would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be sent at www.donaldvbrown.ca
