RENFREW, Janet (nee Scott)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet at the Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in her 88th year. Cherished wife of Bob for 66 years. Amazing and loved mother of Diane Hoyle (Ted), Joanne Hughes (Maurice) and Bob. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of her beloved grandchildren Katie (Justin), Andrea, Scott, Shannon, Eric and Molly. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Margaret Smith (Bill), Helen Mori (the late Tony), Carol Smith (Ormond), Walter Scott (Joanne) and much loved sister-in-law of David, Dianne and Leslie Renfrew. Janet will be remembered by so many family and friends for her strength, kindness and unwavering support. While she leaves behind many heavy hearts, the family is comforted by the many special memories of the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister (in-law) and friend that anyone could ever want. Special thanks to the “special” care workers from CCAC for all of their kind help. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
