Obituary of Rose Bridget Drotar

DROTAR (Barilla), Rose Bridget 
 (June 23, 1917 – May 10, 2017) 
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, entered into the arms of our Lord at the age of 99. She will celebrate her 100th birthday with her family in Heaven. Born in Grayson, SK, she is the beloved mother of Ralph Drotar and his loving friend Marilyn Dion of Stoney Creek, Edward Drotar and his wife Joan of Thunder Bay, Ron Drotar and his wife Debi of Hamilton and Gerard Drotar and his wife Nathalie of Calgary. Loving Grandmother of Chris (Julie), Rhonda (Jason), Matthew, Renae, Keven (Kira), Melodie (Shawn), Denver (Heather), Rachel, and her Great-grandchildren Ryan, Rebecca (Dave), Bree-Ann, Julian, Isaac, Shayleen, Eric, Natasha, Mason, Liam, Vincent and Alexander. Dear sister of Sr. Juliana, Sr. Elizabeth and Marge (Stan) Petracek. Rose is predeceased by her beloved husband William Albert Nicholas Drotar (1995), parents John Barilla and Juliana Kulcsar, brothers John and Steven, sisters Sr. Blonda, Sr. Rhoda and Sr. Steven. Rose was an active and celebrated member of the Catholic Women's League for many years. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion.  Special thanks to the physicians and nursing staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton.  Also, to Linda Best for the loving care given to our Mother. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 4-8pm. Vigil prayers 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Stoney Creek, on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 10am. Interment to follow at  Chapel Hill Cemetery. Donations made to the Society of the Little Flower or Catholic Missions in Canada would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered at www.donaldvbrown.ca
