Obituary of Ronald Leslie Bolton

BOLTON, Ronald Leslie It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ron at Hamilton General Hospital in the ICU, at the age of 78. Ron was surrounded by the people he loved, and who loved him the most. He is survived by his beloved partner Sharon Tingey and her children James, David, Michelle, Jonathon, Tedd and his beautiful little sweetheart Jackie. Also left to mourn his passing is his lifelong friend Bob Lyon and his good friend Jan Bowring from Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents Leslie and Edna Bolton and his friend Audrey Foster. Ron’s nap partners Baby and Kittyhawk will miss their friend. He will also be missed by his many cousins and friends. Special thanks to his friends Bob Lyon, Shirley and Ed Felbel. Thank you to the staff of 7 West and ICU at Hamilton General. Ron fought a hard battle with Lewy Body Disease, and I would like to thank Dr. Goodacre, Dr. Cowan and counsellor Gloria for helping us through this battle. It was very tough. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 9 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Salvation Army “Soup Van Ministry” (94 York Blvd., Hamilton, ON, L8R 1R6) to help nourish and clothe people in need. When I come to the end of my journey, And I travel my last weary mile, Just forget that I ever frowned And remember only the smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken, Forget I ever had a heartache And remember I’ve had loads of fun. Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered, And sometimes I fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won. Forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you my family and friends Sad for a day. Ponder for a moment about me And try to remember Only the best.
