Obituary of James "Jim" Anton Pallo

PALLO, James “Jim” Passed away peacefully, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved sweetheart, best friend and husband of Anne for 64 years. Cherished father of Diane (Daniel) Aitken, Lynda (Fareed) Al Quran, Jim (Barbara). Devoted grandpa of Susan, Ryan, Julie, Jeremy, Lindsay and Danielle. Dear brother of Esther, Eileen, Darlene and Allan. Predeceased by his brothers Don and Mel. He will be greatly missed by his family, his best friend - Pastor Ralph Lepore, his church family, neighbours and many friends. Jim was born at the homestead S4, TP 21, Range 22, West 2nd Saskatchewan. He was an avid fisherman, who is now fishing with the greatest fisherman of all. He will be remembered for his love of gardening and his prized tomatoes, his singing in the Church Choir and as a soloist. Jim worked for many years with Canada Post and was a member and Deacon at Stoney Creek Baptist Church. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Curnew and Dr. Schweitzer for their care, compassion and friendship. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. Donations to Stoney Creek Baptist Church in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family. Love of My life, Dad, and Grandpa – we love you with all of our hearts. You will be forever missed.
